To Catch Your Cheating Mate on Valentine's Day, Hire a Private Eye

If you suspect your spouse or significant other of infidelity and haven’t been able to get any proof thus far, the three day period from February 13 - 15 is one of the best times of the year to hire a private investigator to get the proof you need.  On or around Valentine’s Day is when he’ll have the best chance of catching your cheating mate.   See Valentine’s Day is an Ideal Time to Catch Your Cheating Mate

Normally I Don’t Recommend Private Eyes

As author of a popular infidelity reference book which helps men and women catch their cheating mates, I rarely recommend the use of a private eye.  I firmly believe that if a person knows what to look for, they can find evidence of infidelity on their own.  As an infidelity expert who has been researching infidelity for over 20 years, I’ve interviewed countless men and women who’ve spent large sums of money hiring private investigators without getting any results.

The Exception is Valentine’s Day

The Valentine season from Feb. 13 – Feb.15 is an exception to that rule. Since cheaters of both sexes can be counted on to get together at some point during this time to give or receive the traditional Valentine’s Day gift, you’ll only need to hire an investigator for 3 days or less.

Most cheaters of both sexes can be counted on to make contact with their affair partner at some point, before, during, or after Valentine’s Day.  A cheating man must personally give his mistress her Valentine’s Day gift.  A cheating woman has to meet her secret lover somewhere to receive his Valentine’s Day gift. This 3-day window of opportunity greatly increases the chance that the investigator you hire will catch your cheating mate “in the act.”

Book Your Investigator Early

If you decide to hire a private investigator for Valentine’s Day, book early.  For most investigators who specialize in infidelity investigations this is their busiest time of the year. You can further reduce the cost of your investigation if you can pinpoint the time when the cheaters are most likely to meet.  Is it lunch time?  Before work?  After work?  Or late at night when your spouse or significant other thinks you’re asleep?  If you already know your mate is cheating, or strongly suspect infidelity, or, you might already have a good idea what the best time might be.    This will help your investigator deliver maximum results at minimum expense.  Fees can range from $50 to $100 an hour or much more.

You might also consider hiring an investigator just for Mistress Day, February 13 to monitor your mate.   This “unofficial holiday” is when most cheating men spend time with their affair partner, since they must celebrate with their wife or main girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.

If You Can’t Afford a Private Eye

If you can’t afford a private investigator, or just prefer not to hire one, there’s $37 dollar alternative that will work almost as well.  A good infidelity reference book like Is He Cheating on You? - 829 Telltale Signs will help you get the all proof you need.  It documents practically every known sign of infidelity, including the subtle signs people usually overlook. Despite the title, most of the infidelity signs in the book apply to both cheating women and cheating men.  The e-book version which comes with a bonus an affair recovery guide is available for $37 from  The soft cover version can be purchased from for $29.95.
